Dear Film Industry Friends,
We are thrilled to announce the launch of Calltime Champions, a new initiative of the Calltime Mental Health and Addiction Campaign. This is an opportunity for you to help us promote mental wellness and addiction resources within the film industry.
The Calltime Mental Health campaign has been developed to support BC motion picture workers and their families, reduce the stigma related to mental health and substance use concerns, and to ensure that BC motion picture workers are aware of the services and benefits available to them through their Union Health Benefit Plans and broader resources that are available to the public. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about mental health and addiction advocacy to join us as Calltime Champions and help us promote this website and its resources to others in our community.
As a Calltime Champion, you will play a critical role in ensuring that everyone in the film industry has access to the information and resources they need to maintain good mental health and overcome addiction. Whether you are a union member or union staff, director, producer, actor, crew member, production staff, supplier, or family member, you can make a meaningful difference by becoming a Calltime Champion.
As a Calltime Champion you will be kept up to date on the latest from Calltime and be asked to commit to promoting and sharing the Calltime Mental Health website content, blog posts, social media posts, resources, and promotions with your film / motion picture sector colleagues and networks, on and off set.
We are confident that with your help, we can continue to grow the positive impact we are having on mental health & wellness in the film industry. If you would like to become a Calltime Champion, simply visit our Champions page for full information on the role and how you can get involved.
Together, let's make a difference and support mental health and addiction resources in the film industry.
APPLY NOW to become a Calltime Champion!
Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
Calltime Mental Health and Addiction Campaign Committee
Calltime Mental Health Society
The Calltime Mental Health and Addiction website (calltimementalhealth.com) is a one-stop-shop for resources on mental wellness and addiction, including a blog with tips on maintaining good mental health and promotion of trends and special events, information on addiction recovery, learning modules on how to support others, resource links by topic, and a directory of BC Film Union benefit plans.
The Calltime website is a public service initiative of the Calltime Mental Health Society, a not for profit society registered in BC, Canada, led by a committee composed of representatives of each of the six BC Film Sector Unions - IATSE 891, ICG 669, Teamsters 155, UBCP/ACTRA, ACFC West. Local 2020 Unifor, and DGC BC, and their associated Health Benefit plans. The six BC film union locals have generously provided core funding for this initiative.
